What this estimate assumes
This calculator mirrors the standard billing formula: energy used × tariff rate + fixed charge, then tax on the subtotal. When you enter meter readings, it subtracts the previous reading from the current one first.
Real bills may add network or delivery fees, demand charges, discounts or subsidies this tool does not model, and time-of-use or tiered tariffs need to be entered period by period or as an average rate. The daily figure uses a 30-day billing period.
The result is an estimate for planning and verification, not an invoice. Your actual bill is the authority and may differ from this figure. Everything runs locally — nothing you type leaves your browser.
The formula
Energy (kWh) = current reading − previous reading

Estimated bill = (energy × rate + fixed) + (subtotal × tax %)
Worked example: readings of 13,020 and 12,450 give 570 kWh. At $0.15/kWh with a $5 fixed charge and 6% tax the estimate is $95.93.
