Editorial policy

Effective 3 August 2026. This policy explains how Daily Utility Lab approaches tool content, accuracy, updates, and commercial disclosures.

Our editorial standard

Daily Utility Lab publishes practical calculators, checkers, and explanatory content. Our goal is not to produce the most pages; it is to publish tools that state what they do, show the assumptions that matter, and are useful in the moment a person needs them.

How tools are developed

Before a tool is published, we define its purpose, inputs, units, calculation or decision rules, assumptions, limitations, and expected result. Core calculation logic is kept separate from the visual interface so it can be checked and tested. We test normal, boundary, and invalid-input cases appropriate to the tool.

Sources, claims, and updates

We avoid unsupported factual claims and do not use fabricated reviews, user counts, awards, certifications, or endorsements. Where a tool relies on a convention, formula, or externally maintained guidance, we aim to identify the relevant assumption on the tool page. We review and update published content when a material issue, changed standard, or clearer explanation is identified.

Corrections

If you spot an error, unclear instruction, or result that appears incorrect, email info@dailyutilitylab.com with the page address, the information entered (only if you are comfortable sharing it), and the issue you found. We will assess substantiated reports and correct material errors as appropriate.

Commercial relationships

We do not publish paid placements or sponsored content, and no commercial arrangement will turn an estimate into professional advice or override a tool’s stated limitations. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept the cookie banner; before that choice, the analytics tag runs in consent mode with cookies disabled. If we introduce a sponsored placement, affiliate link, free product, or another material commercial relationship that could influence how content is presented, we will disclose it clearly near the relevant content.

Independence and scope

Editorial judgment is guided by usefulness, clarity, and accuracy within the stated scope of each tool. We do not present content as a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, safety, cleaning, or manufacturer advice.
