Terms of use
Effective 3 August 2026. These terms explain the conditions for using Daily Utility Lab and its practical tools.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using dailyutilitylab.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use the site for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
What the service provides
Daily Utility Lab provides browser-based home-energy calculators, metadata privacy tools and explanatory content. We may add, change, pause or remove features to maintain or improve the service.
Informational tools, not professional advice
Tool results are general estimates or rule-based guidance based on the information entered. They are not medical, financial, legal, safety, engineering, cleaning, or other professional advice. Do not use a result as the sole basis for a high-stakes decision, and seek qualified advice where appropriate.
Electricity and energy results depend on the wattage, runtime, tariff and efficiency assumptions entered. They are estimates, not utility quotes, electrical inspections or professional engineering advice. Follow manufacturer instructions and use a qualified electrician for circuit, breaker or wiring decisions.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for checking the information you enter, assessing whether the tool is suitable for your situation, and making the final decision about any action you take. You are also responsible for protecting information included in a share link and for obtaining permission before sharing a link that includes another person’s information.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You must not interfere with the site, bypass security measures, attempt unauthorised access, use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the service, introduce harmful code, or use the site in a way that infringes another person’s rights or violates applicable law.
Intellectual property
The site’s branding, design, text, code, and other content are owned by or licensed to Daily Utility Lab and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the site normally and share tool output or a generated share link for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, sell, or exploit substantial portions of the site without prior written permission, except where applicable law permits it.
Third-party services and links
The site may link to third-party websites or services in the future. Those services are independent of Daily Utility Lab, and their content, availability, and privacy practices are their responsibility. Review their terms and policies before using them.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Daily Utility Lab disclaims warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. We work to keep published tools useful and clear, but results can be incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular circumstance.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Daily Utility Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from or related to the site or its results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights that may apply to you as a consumer.
Changes and contact
We may revise these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The revised terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you have a question about these terms, contact info@dailyutilitylab.com.
